About the event
Meet Jane Whitten, a contemporary basket maker and knitter who creates functional and dysfunctional pieces using traditional and non-traditional materials. Jane will be weaving a beach basket from upcycled coloured plastic strapping.
July 29 from 12-5 pm at (32 Ryan's Hill Road just past the Ryan's Premises National Historic Site - look for the Kelp Sheep)
Jane's work is available at Kind Seas in Bonavista and Fishers' Loft Inn Gift Shop in Port Rexton.
Jane Whitten is also doing an artist residency at Union House Arts.
